Forging Equity and Inclusion,

One Startup at a Time

We believe all startup founders deserve a seat at the table.

We also recognize that under-served entrepreneurs often face multiple institutional and accessibility challenges when building startups. Challenges such as securing traditional startup financing, finding and creating appropriate alliances, and developing marketing and distribution channels can be daunting. We are dedicated to helping create a more equitable playing field, and to helping Foundry participants – BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled, female, veteran, low-income, older, and other marginalized or under- served entrepreneurs – to navigate the challenges of building successful startups. Foundry participants are companies and creators from all types of industries in all growth phases.

Create, Launch, and Grow

A 501(c)(3) California non-profit, Vulcan Startup Foundry empowers our Vulcan Anvil Program participants to create, launch, and grow successful businesses. With access to our virtual platform, participants will attend seminars, programming, and regular individualized consulting sessions. As projects develop in the Foundry, we will facilitate introductions to potential investors and relevant business opportunities. Qualified participants may also apply for a Vulcan Hammer Grant.

The Tools You Need

The Foundry is composed of a core team of Mentors, each with extensive foundational experience in fields critical to a fledgling company’s growth and success. Participants will have regular one-on-one sessions with mentors and attend group virtual programs designed to deliver critical information about launching a startup. The Vulcan Anvil Program also provides access to industry-specific Advisors — one more way we help ensure our participants have the tools and opportunities to succeed.
